There’s loads of inspired edit-work kicking around at the minute, here’s a few of our recent favs in case you missed em..
Yo, do ya’ll follow us on ol Facebook? We stick up loads of tunes, links, downloads, shares and other bits and pieces in addition to what we do on here. Hit us up here and follow us you don’t already.
We posted this one up earlier today and just CAN’T stop watching it! Unearthed by our boys over at Sleazy Beats is the greatest music video ever. Xavier is the biggest, coolest, smoothest pimp we have seen. Magnificent.
Here’s a class edit of the track from the always-on-the-money Touchsoul fellas, who’ve drawn out the funky bass a lot more to keep the pimpin groovin longer.
Of course, everyone will recognise this as the source of the amazing Do It The Max by 6th Borough Project, easily one of the finest tracks of the past few years…
6th BP’s long player is also one of this year’s most essential releases, get on that quicktime if you missed it.
Three, is the magic number.. Seriously buzzing at how much brilliant stuff is around at the minute, here are three superb re-works that have been doing the business for us recently.
Wicked cuts, brilliant work, one and all.
^ seriously check this one out, freakin awesome stuff..
We’ve been a bit quiet on the blog front for the last while. With excuses ranging from broken laptops, being homeless for a few weeks, or just being Skef, we haven’t had the chance to post up as much as we would like to, but we have been busy! Make sure to stay tuned for the next in our exclusive podcast mix series coming this week, with a few more belters lined up over the next while.
In the meantime, there has been so many great edits floating about, so here are just a few rocking our boat at the minute. Some great ones for those summer time parties!
Next up is Matthew Kyle’s sublime edit of Bobby Womack. You know what sort of groove to expect by now, and this doesn’t fail to deliver
Then we have a cracking edit from Daniel Swainger. Many more of these on his Soundcloud
Next up, from Drop Out Orchestra, a blissful edit of Sade’s classic (even better than Shola Ama’s!)
Any finally we have a brilliant edit of Jennifer Hudson from the legendary Mark Seven. We were pointed to this one by Mike from Belfast Music Club, who are bringing Mark over this summer. Looking forward to that!
Been a while since we had a full-on, unashamed disco post so here we go.. Couple of tracks here inspired by Horse Meat Disco’s 7th birthday last month which was mindblowingly good; a cracking re-edit from king Krivit and a choice piece of craft from the machine that is Sunderland’s Adrian Dickinson aka Touchsoul. Enjoy.
