- New Merc release is out now, and ploughed straight to the top of the Juno charts, probably because it’s a little fucking beaut. Check. It. Out. Heeeere.

- Due out next month is Mark’s hotly anticipated Black Country Dub of Take Em Up, the standout from Shit Robot‘s recent From The Cradle To The Rave LP. This is scary good, meaning both scary and good. Listen!

- Word is, Mark’s debut solo album is also just about nailed, expect it to drop on Merc in Spring 2011. Included will be Call Me, a track that some kind soul ripped from his August beatsinspace mix and kindly stuck up on tinterwebs.. How freakin awesome is this.

Essential purchases!

Here’s a couple of recent compilations & LPs worthy of your attention and a few of your hard-earned sterlings..

Love Someone, the debut artist from New York’s Wolf + Lamb. To say we’re excited about this is a pretty gross understatement. Deep, brooding & mellow with synth licks, cascading keys, courteous nods to blue note and sexy as fuck vocals throughout, it’s everything we hoped it would be..
Oh, and quick gloat alert – we’re gonna get to check out the W+L showcase in Paris’ Le Régine at the end of this month, featuring Soul Clap, Le Loup and Nicholas Jaar live! Win, yes?

Next up, Mark E’s Works 2005-2009 Vol.2 – the follow up to, erm, Vol.1 that was released eariler this year on Merc. Features the mighty Formed and the rather epic Womack-sampled Scared.. We’ll not go on about this too much though, lest Mark be investigating restraining orders..

And finally, the first compilation from previously wax-only imprint Disco Deviance. This CD release features tracks from the first five Disco Deviance vinyl releases, plus exclusive bonus cuts by many of the featured editors including Greg Wilson, Pete Herbert, Eddie Tour and Fat Camp that will only be available via this format.
