Really diggin pretty much everything JFD have turned their hands too. This live mix of theirs from last year in Dublin has been pretty much on constant rotation, a properly creative and ridiculously tight blend of synthy nudisco and house beats, with a bit of Belleruche thrown in for good measure.
Can’t really tell you too much about JFD, other than what you read on their website and the fact they’re signed with Southern Fried. Their debut 12″ is dropping soon, followed by remixes for The Two Bears and a second EP in the summer. All we can say, for sure, is that they’re friggin great.

If there’s a more consistent label around than Audio Parallax, or a harder working boss than its honcho David Kenney, I’d love to know. This EP by Aussie North Pollard is the labels 36th release in a couple of short years, and of the incredible standard we’ve come to expect as the norm.
Nothing too intricate about this particular track, adding weight to the theory that if you get a couple of vital things nailed, you have a beast on your hands. This is all about the soft bassline and sleazy tempo, early evening perfection right here.

Really really liked the Pitchben album from a few months back, and this new release of remixes on Compost is mega tight. The Tiger & Woods remix is pretty stellar and will probably grab the most attention but Runaway’s ace singalong re-work just pips it for us.
Another one for the sun terraces and boat parties, this’ll be BIG. Absolutely lovin that bassline too.

Used to be big into Flight Facilities a few years back so really not sure how it went under my radar, especially being on the always-on-point Future Classic too, but thankfully the Deep Fried Funk fellas rectified that at our party last night.
