Mark E | Call Me

Hurrah! One of the house records of the year, is finally available! Call Me first dropped on to our radar as part of Mark’s cracking Beats In Space mix and we posted about this track no less than this time LAST FLIPPIN YEAR!

This track just goes to show just how super-simple it is to make a great house record – all you need is a perfect bassline, a load of gorgeous perc, an engaging sample, layer upon layer of subtly building drums, stabs and keys and a rare supreme knowledge of how to arrange music that will hold, massage and hypnotise a 3am dancefloor. Easy!

We adore Mark E, and pretty much everything he has ever done, but this is up there with his very best. Throwing Dixon and Tensnake into remix action is just taking the piss. Move quickly on this one, or miss out – hit Juno, Phonica, Chemical, Piccadilly, Clone or your local favourite stockist.

New isodisco tees!

YO! A month or two back we got one of our pals to knock up a few cheeky tees for us to dish out at some of our gigs here in Belfast. That we did, and thus the story ends. Almost. The amount of mails and enquiries we’ve since got about em has been outrageous!

We just had a bunch more done including some slender cuts for the disco chicks, and a rad new purple colour as well as the original black one that Joey Negro proudly sports above! If you’d like one, we’re sellin em for £18 plus post & packing which will be about £2 to UK, and £3-4 to most European cities. If you’re anywhere else, email us the details and we’ll check it out!

To order, fire us a mail to info at isodisco dot com with the size and colour you’d like, and we’ll mail you back with paypal address. That’s it!

In stock at the mo we have:

Melting Pot | Joey Negro

JOEY NEGRO WITH HIS NEW PRIDE & JOY!

Still positively buzzing from the phenomenal party that was Joey Negro at Melting Pot in Glasgow! It really was a night of heavenly music in a class basement venue with proper disco, boogie, old school house and the obligatory hatful of JN edits both old and new. Here’s a few choice cuts from our hazy recollection of proceedings..

Fonzi Thornton – I’ll Change My Game
The Doobie Brothers – What A Fool Believes
The O’Jay’s – Put Our Heads Together
Empress – Dyin’ to Be Dancin’

Big shouts to our girl Carina Ramos, Andrew Pirie the resident DJ & promoter of Melting Pot who dropped a superb set before JN, and the entire Melting Pot crew for making it a night to remember..

NB – Dave played a really magnificent remix of the Jackson 5′s Shake Your Body – turns out it’s his own work and the wax will be available soon. Keep an eye out for it, trust us when we say it’s pretty special!
